(b) Dharwar rocks — The Dharwars are economically the most important rocks because they possess valuable mineral like high grade iron ore, manganese, copper, lead, gold, quartzite's, States, mica etc. The Dharwar rocks are well developed in the Dharwar- Bellary - Mysore belt of Karnataka. It is also found in Jharkhand (Ranchi, Hazaribagh), Madhya Pradesh (Balaghat, Rewa), Chhattisgarh (Bastar, Dantewara, Kanker), Orissa (Sundergarh, Keonjhar) and in the Aravallis between Jaipur and Palampur.
