(a) 1936 — Kumaon Regiment is a military Unit of Indian Armed Forces, which was established in 1815. It is an Indian military unit related to the residents of Himalayan region called Kumaon. It's headquarters located in the mountainous region called Ranikhet in Kumaon division of Uttarakhand and is awarded with the Param Veer Chakra, the first highest award for bravery of the Indian Armed Forces. Kumaon Regiment is considered to be particularly glorious for the Indo- Pakistan war of 1947 and the Indo-China war of 1962. Note :- Hence the commission has considered its answer as 1945, which is wrong.
