(d) Beas — Pong dam is built on the Beas river. It is also called Pong reservoir or Maharana Pratap sagar. The entire reservoir was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1983 by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Pong dam lake was declared a Ramsar site in November 2002.
