The fourteenth-century poet Amir Khusrau used the word “Hind”. Amir Khusrau saw the rule of seven rulers namely Balban, Muhammad, Kaiqubad, Jalaludin Khilji, Alauddin Khilji, Mubarak Shah Khilji and Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq.
