Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel dream of setting up a dairy in Anand and on his advice, on 14 February 1946, under the leadership of Tribhuvandas Patel 'Kheda District Khedut Dudh Utpadan Sangh' was established. Which later became famous as Amul Dairy.
